HTC has announced the HTC 7 Pro; a Windows Phone 7 smartphone. The HTC Pro 7 incorporates a QWERTY keyboard, a 3.6-inch capacitive touch screen with 480 x 800 pixel resolution, a fast 1GHz Qualcomm processor, a 5-megapixel camera with autofocus, WiFi, and a 1500 mAh strong battery. The device will primarily address mobile business users.
The new Windows 7 Phone OS facilitates direct access to contacts, pictures, games and media; for example, by grouping together all the addresses, e-mails, appointments, text messages and status updates of a person bundled . Windows Mobile 7 also integrates with Xbox Live, Windows Live, Ask.com and Zune.
The Windows Phone also features applications such as a flashlight function, stock and weather apps and an animated notepad. Images are recorded via the integrated camera and can be edited with the HTC photo enhancement app. Videos in 720p can be recorded and uploaded directly to video portals and SRS surround supposedly delivers a better sound.
